White River Burning still had wonderful writing and characters, but I am not a fan of racial tension plots. Please do not let this deter you from reading the book as this is just my preference. I love the way Dave Gurney’s mind works wh I received White River Burning by John Verdon in a giveaway sponsored by Counterpoint Press.
